Galilee Medical Centermarks its first year of success in using the Ministry of Health’s simultaneous translation services. The service was established to allow caregivers to communicate with patients in three: Arabic, Russian and Amharic. The service operates 6 days a week and has been successfully implemented in all departments, throughout 2014. In the past year there were 226 calls to the service to allow our professional medical staff to better serve our diverse community.

Ruti Ifrach Administrative Director comments: "At first we used a pilot and the system was implemented in seven departments and, in time, there was also a need to assimilate other departments. AS the largest medical center in theGalilee, it is our responsibility to provide this sort of service to the many people who will visit our departments, units, institutes, clinics and emergency room every day."
