Visit, experience, and learn!
During Jeremy's visit, he stayed on the medical
center's campus and took part in department activities. Jeremy also spent time
learning about psychiatry, accompanied by Dr. Carlos Giloni, head of our
psychiatric services, and Dr. Alexander Dimant — the field in which he wants to
do an internship after he finishes his medical studies. The opportunity to
visit our medical center allows students from abroad, of medicine and the
various allied professions, to expand their education and experience and learn
about Israel's health system, medical standards and quality medical care.
Jeremy said that during his visit he gained a unique perspective on Israel's
approach to medical care, met and interacted with members of the local Western
Galilee community, and broadened his understanding of healthcare in general
while exploring and experiencing life in Israel.
Galilee Medical Center's Department of International
Affairs, headed by Ms. Aya Kagade, coordinated his visit as part of its
activities, in cooperation with the Jewish Agency through the Partnership2Gether Western Galilee program, which promotes mutually
beneficial efforts and strengthens the relationship between the Western Galilee
and sixteen communities in the US, including Omaha, and Budapest. Thank you to
everyone at Galilee Medical Center who helped make Jeremy's visit a success.
